I have put together a book for my children and grandchildren. It contains lots of fun and interesting articles, etc. that I found in my father’s papers. You will probably enjoy some of the autobiographical notes regarding early life in Indiana. Please remember that this book was intended simply as a way to introduce my descendants to their heritage and pass down some of the priceless descriptions. Orpha Mossman’s notes, as loosely written down by her niece and transcribed by me exactly as they were written, are particularly interesting.
My sisters and I are interested in making a pilgrimage to Indiana as we have never been the Churubusco/Ft. Wayne area. Thus my interest in the Whitley County Genealogical Society. I thought the Society and some of their members would be interested in some of the documents in my book.
My aunt, Lois Nickey Eason, was a member of the DAR and I imagine it would be relatively simple to complete an application, but have never gotten back to it. I believe that her application was based on descent from Christian Balsley who was the father of my great great great grandmother.
