Washington Twp.--- Shank family cemetery

The Shank cemetery is described by Kaler Maring in their 1907 “History of Whitley County” as being in Section 20 on land owned by Jonas Baker. Started in 1845, Kaler Maring report it as being “almost gone” in 1907. Of the original buriels, some of the names were Bills, Weybright, Harber and Karns in addition to the Shanks. Most of the graves were moved from the site.

Original location places it on County Road 200W and south of 800S
