Grand Rapids - Marvel Obermyer, 67, died this morning at Browning Care Center, Waterville. Mrs. Obermyer had been a registered nurse and a member of Wesleyan Church, Grand Rapids.
She was born April 30, 1925, in Churubusco, Ind., to Samuel and Olive (Smith) Egolf. She married Lowell F. Obermyer on March 18, 1950, and he died October 1, 1982.
Surviving are two daughters, Peggy Obermyer, West Alexandria, and Carol Stretchberry, Grand Rapids; three sons, Tim and Terry, both of Grand Rapids, and Tom of Petersburg, Mich.; a sister, Garnet Rocke, Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Harold of Ashley, Ind., and Elton Egolf of Avilla, Ind.; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home, Grand Rapids. Burial will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey. Rev. Kenneth Williams will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to Hospice or the Church.

Jerome Curtiss Orcutt, a well known farmer residing in Troy township, near the
Kosciusko county line, died of heart trouble Wednesday evening at the home where he
was born seventy years ago… He was born on February 14, 1850 to Jerome and Polly Palmer
Orcutt, in Troy township, and was 70 years, 9 months and 3 days old… He was married on
December 3, 1874 to Lydia Haas, who, with six sons, survives. The surviving children
are Oral, of Howendale, Miss., Olin, of Thorncreek township, Guy, of Etna township, and
Arlow, Frank and Glenn, of Troy township. A daughter, Lulu, died at the age of
eighteen years. Besides the children fifteen grandchildren survive.

Lulu Orcutt died at the home of her aunt, Mrs. George Ward in Garrett, Saturday,
June 23, 1906 after an illness of a week. She was born near Hecla, Ind., Oct. 1, 1887.
She was the only daughter of Jerome and Liddia Orcutt.
