John died February 17, 1924
John Zintzmester, formerly a resident of this county, died at his home in Loraine,
Ohio, Sunday. Mrs. Joseph Yontz, of this city received a telegram Monday morning
telling of the death. Mr. Zintzmester was born in Troy township nearly sixty
years ago but moved to Loraine, Ohio, twenty-nine years ago where he had been a
member of the police force until a few years ago when he retired.
He is survived by the widow and four children, namely, Hamer, Ralph and Grace
Zintzmester and Mrs. Lela Motter, of Loraine, Ohio. He was an uncle of Mrs.
Joseph Yontz, Mrs. George Weick and Earl Wise of this city. There are also other
relatives in Etna and Troy townships.
William Wise of Etna township will attend the funeral which will be held Thursday
at the home.
Zumbrum, Delpha Anspaugh

Mrs. Noah Zumbrum, daughter of Eli and Dora Anspaugh, of LaGrange county,
formerly of this county, died at her home in Green township, Noble county,
Tuesday morning at 10:00 o’clock. Death was due to a complication of
diseases. She had been sick four months.
Delpha Anspaugh was born in Whitley county, September 17th, 1873 and was
45 years and 3 months old at the time of her death. She lived with parents
and on June 22, 1893, was married to Noah Zumbrum of this county. To this
union four children were born, all of whom are at home. They are Wilda,
Herald, Obia and Loeda. One brother, Charles Anspaugh, and her parents
also survive. They left Whitley county about twenty-two years ago. The
deceased was a member of the United Brethren church.

Thursday, December 7, 1944
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Blue River Church of the Brethren for Noah V. Zumbrum, 74, resident of road 9, one mile north of Merriam, where his death occurred Wednesday. The body will be returned to the residence Thursday from the Sonday Funeral Home at Churubusco. The Rev. L. U. Krider will officiate at the funeral service, also the committal service to be held in the church cemetery.
Death followed a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Lavilla Gaff Zumbrum; two daughters, Mrs. Wilda Brown, Noble county; Mrs. Gale Smith, Mansfield, O., two brothers [sic], Hearl Zumbrum, Fort Wayne; Obra Zumbrum, Noble county; one brother, Omar Zumbrun, Fort Wayne; four sisters, Mrs. Howard Harter, Fort Wayne; Mrs. Winfield Gaerte, Columbia City; Mrs. Cora Norris, Goshen; Mrs. Ernest Zwicke, Goshen, and seven grandchildren.
Mr. Zumbrum was a son of Christian and Louise Ott Zumbrum and was a life long member of the Blue River Church of the Brethren.
Note: Hearl and Obra are his sons, not brothers.

Christian Ray Zumbrun, son of Christian K. and Louisa J. Zumbrun, was born Sept. 27,
1891 and died May 13, 1904, aged 12 years 7 months and 16 days.
